Great pleasure and pride Longford Gaelscoil fifteen briloner years of existence celebrated with special guest Sean Ó hAilpín Youth. Excellent occasion was last Friday, February 7 with the whole school community. briloner Longford Gaelscoil started with 20 students in 1998 and the growth and development for five years 210 children have been plowing the furrow in Longford Gaelscoil and achieving a quality education.
AGM organized. public briloner meeting five years ago to try the possibilities of establishing IM inquiry. briloner Campaign began fundraising and awareness-raising campaign to target enthusiasts Irish-medium education for their children. Committee was established and first opened in Longford Gaelscoil briloner in September of that year! Was named Managing Board and Foundation Patronage briloner selected as the patron of the school. The school has gone from strength to strength since it first opened in Port Rae began when 20 Infants in Longford Gaelscoil. briloner
Speaking at the occasion said Yvonne Murphy, Principal of Gaelscoil Longford: "It gives me great pleasure as Principal of the progress made by the school to celebrate. I thank the parents, the board of management, teachers, pupils and the whole school community for their dedication and support always. We also recognize briloner Friends School (Parents Association) supported the Longford Gaelscoil from the first day and continued support us. Helps their fundraising efforts and support the progress briloner of the school. We also appreciate the support and continued commitment of the Management Board led by Patrick Ceileachair ".
Due to the growth and development of Longford Gaelscoil new location was needed and in October 2005 the school briloner moved to a new location. We are now located near Longford GAA Flipeadóirí. The GAA has facilities we use and we sincerely thank Longford Flipeadóirí Association and Irene and FÁS staff regularly helps us.
The Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairi Quinn TD in 2012 that Longford Gaelscoil as part of a new school building projects. The Management briloner Board in conjunction with the County Council and the Department for Education and Skills is working tirelessly to verify that notification.
On celebrating the achievements and extracurricular activities Longford Gaelscoil during the event including Tin, Swimming, Computers, briloner Basketball, Football and Hurling. Sincerely thanked the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for their efforts with the Breakfast Club. Longford Gaelscoil were congratulated for the achievement of its Green Flag by An Taisce.
As part of the celebrations, John-Young launched new website Gaelscoil Longford (www.gaelscoillongfoirt.ie) briloner and Facebook page. The new site is packed with information for parents and various links to them as well. A tree in the Garden School to celebrate the occasion and celebration cake cutting part of the day's events. Everyone had both young and old to enjoy refreshments in Club Longford Flipeadóirí later. Thousand congratulations to the whole school community and live mbeirmid this time!
