The 8th chapter of Luke, after presenting two parables and a short narrative about the encounter that Jesus' family wanted to have with him, then shall address the issue of fear and faith in four sequential episodes. As I wrote in the previous two articles, both in the storm calmed as in healing the demoniac Gerasene, people are controlled by their fears. On the boat, the disciples awakened the Master thinking that they would perish (verse 24). Already in Gerasa, the local community is frightened before the changes led club caused by the arrival of the Kingdom of God, when they saw the feet of Jesus healed led club the man, and asked the Lord to depart led club from that region (v. 37). When you return led club from your trip, two new miracles this time will be marked by feelings of courage and boldness: the healing of the woman with the hemorrhage and resurrection of Jairus' daughter. In both faith prevail over the appearance of the circumstances through led club the attitudes of people who persistently fought to the end for the things they want. Jairus was a man who did not conform to any bad news about the health led club of his ailing daughter. Taking it a prominent position in the region where the synagogue worship and hence also in the community, did not care about what they would think or say about you, if not blessed. When searched for Jesus, the text says that the girl "was on the verge of death" (v. 42). Jesus did not refuse to go to his house and heal the girl, when they were on the way, followed by a crowd, approached a woman suffering from chronic bleeding for 12 years and put on robes of the Savior. Immediately she was healed of her disease and the Master led club realized that something out of ordinary happened. That was not a common touch as the other grips the crowd around her. "Someone touched me, because I felt that power has gone out from me" (v. 46) According to Leviticus 25:15, the flow of menstrual blood became such a woman ceremonially unclean, excluding the various relationships within led club Jewish society. In addition to dealing with the disease, it also dealt with the rejection of the people. Who touched their bodies, their clothes, or bed where he slept, also became temporarily unclean. How dare she had to touch Jesus! No doubt that many leaders, preachers, teachers of the law, Levites and priests especially, should avoid any physical connate with it. If her husband ever had, this may have left her then or never married since each sexual act would cost them a sacrifice in the Temple, under the laws of purification known Judaism through Babylonian Talmud (Niddah 2:1 M. b -5). According to the text of Luke, she had assets but spent all with the doctors unable to achieve the result. led club Still, the suffering woman sought strength not to give up and went after Jesus. I keep thinking about what that woman would be if, after touching the garments led club were not cured? Certainly, it would be publicly humiliated and rejected more than it already was. As there was a crowd of people behind the Master, it was more likely that anyone discovered anything. But she noticed the occurrence of a miracle in your body and volunteered before the Master. Even as needed to obtain the recognition of the cure for being socially rehabilitated. Jesus' statement was what was missing and it took courage led club and confidence at that time: "And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace" (v. 48) Interesting that Jesus did not attribute to himself even the healing, but the attitude of the woman. He knew that his body only served to channel the Spirit of God at work. Everyone led club could exercise faith regardless of his person! Perhaps, because of spiritual childishness, many condicionassem the need for a physical touch to obtain healing. However, to say that a person's faith itself brought salvation, our Lord was teaching the way to maturity. This was the same warning given to the disciples in the boat after previously calm the storm, "Where led club is your faith" (V. 25) Apparently, there was not time to say more after Jesus healing the woman. As he spoke, there came one bringing sad news from the house of Jairus. The daughter had just died of this. The words spoken at the time and able to produce the deepest discouragement are harsh: "Your daughter is dead, trouble not the Master" (v. 49) What Bomb! Jesus was on his way home from the synagogue ruler and this appealingly had humbled that the Lord would heal his only daughter. With the news he had just lost to the
