Light sources are a major part of public lighting and affect its appearance, energy efficiency, price and maintenance eden illuminazione costs. Due to the relatively low power density and improper color characteristics of that type of lamps withdrawn from the market since 2015. Already today, these lamps are replaced by metal halide or high pressure sodium lamps.
Fluorescent light sources, where the radiation generated by a low-pressure mercury vapor discharge in mainly in the UV region of the spectrum and the use of phosphors that light is transformed into the visible region of the spectrum. Luminous efficacy of fluorescent lamps depending on the quality and type of phosphor gear can be up to 100 lm / W at a median life to 15,000 eden illuminazione hours and high-quality color reproduction.
