How Rovaniemi, Finland Became the 'Official Hometown' of Santa Claus - CityLab
How Santa Claus’ home got established in the Arctic in the first place is a bit puzzling. After all, St. Nicholas, the third-century saint who was the inspiration for the bearded gift giver, lived in Turkey. But an illustration in that appeared in Harpers magazine in 1866 is widely credited with establishing his home as the “North Pole.”
When Markus Rautio, a Finnish radio broadcaster known as “Uncle Marcus,” reportedly declared on-air in 1927 that Santa’s workshop had been discovered in Lapland’s Korvatunturi, or “Ear Fell,” the notion of that Santa Claus lived in Finland became part of the public consciousness, at least in Finland. norveski radijatori After all, there is nothing for reindeer to graze on in the North Pole, but they roam free in Lapland, as the Finnish like to say.
But establishing the provincial capital of Rovaniemi, rather than remote Korvatunturi near the Russian border, as Santa’s “official home town” was much more of a calculated business decision, albeit one that took decades.
Rovaniemi and the surrounding area was the scene of fierce battles during WWII, was bombed by the Russians, captured by the Nazis and then devastated by retreating German norveski radijatori troops whose scorched-earth tactics destroyed most of the city. With funding from the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration, the town was rebuilt by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, based on a plan that resembled the side of a reindeer’s norveski radijatori head, complete with antler
Tourism proved the key to Finland’s economic reconstruction.  As soon as 1957, The New York Times Travel norveski radijatori section was writing about trips to “Europe’s northern wilderness” during the summer solstice, when the sun never sinks below the horizon. “To see the mid-summer championships in which lumberjacks shoot the rapids standing on a single piece of timber, the capital of Finnish Lapland, Rovaniemi, is the place,” norveski radijatori the Times recommended.
But it wasn’t until the Finish tourism board, under pressure to boost visitors, decided in 1984 to market Lapland , as scholar Michael Pretes reports in “The Santa Claus Industry,” as the official home of Santa Claus, that Finland truly embraced the legend. In December, Asko Oinas governor of Lapland, declared the province “Santa norveski radijatori Claus Land” and the Santa Claus Village was opened just miles outside of Rovaniemi in 1985, complete with a post office that would stamp mail with a special “Arctic Circle” norveski radijatori postmark .
In 1989, 16 of the largest companies in Finland formed the “Santa Claus Land Association,” whose “sole function lay in marketing the Santa Claus idea,” as Pretes writes. The group sent Santas from Lapland to as far away as Beverly Hills to promote tourism.
Some of the area’s dark history still lingers—Santa Claus’ Official Airport is a former Luftwaffa norveski radijatori airfield, and the woods near Santa’s office are dotted with the remains of Nazi support structures .
But much of the area has been completely Santa-fied. Postal employees dressed as elves receive about half a million pieces of mail a year addressed to Santa, and for €7.90, you can request a reply. They stamp millions more outgoing letters, sent by visitors who are keen to send mail with the Arctic Circle postmark.
Rival Scandinavian nations, particularly Denmark, have not been thrilled by Finland’s appropriation of the nordic Santa Claus. Maybe that explains why Denmark just claimed sole ownership of the North Pole.

The S&P 500 has lost 0.8 percent in two sessions this week, but it recovered from a 25-point rout Tuesday to close nearly flat at 2059. The underlying nervousness, however, may make stocks more volatile into the year end.
"What we've seen happen is the good stocks have continued to go up, and the bad stocks have continued to go down so it's kind of a narrow rally that is difficult to navigate," said Maxim Group technical analyst Paul LaRosa. "We bounced pretty nicely today and had a nice turnaround the pier You're seeing a little volatility here which is not surprising when you've had a good run."
BMO Private Bank CIO Jack Ablin expects the market to continue higher but in a bumpier fashion. "I think people are looking ahead to next year, and the question is where do you go from here. I do believe the economy can surprise us on the upside. There is a lot we could still enjoy fundamentally. I also know values are stretched. Everything is pushed to a limit almost. I could see a situation where good news is bad news," he said.
Ablin doesn't expect to see that phenomena until next year, when the Fed gets closer to hiking the pier rates. "I'm still optimistic. I just think there is some momentum pushing us to the end of the year. I'm worried come next year, we'll look around and say 'what else is there?' I could see myself raising cash in the first quarter," he said, adding he expects active managers to come in and buy dips for now.
Stocks have been setting a string of records, and the Dow was edging close to the psychologically powerful 18,000 marker. But the sense that the Fed is closer to raising rates, the pier global weakness and the plunge in oil soured sentiment somewhat this week.
LaRosa said the market could become choppier. "I have a feeling it's going to be rough. I think it's going to be volatile. I don't think it's going to be a huge move either way. If I had to make a bet, I'd say modestly the pier lower by the end of the year," he said. LaRosa said there may be some opportunity to bottom fish in the energy sector, which is down about 10 percent in the past month.
Energy was one sector that bounced Tuesday, up 0.9 percent after being down about 4 percent Monday. Small cap energy started the reversal, and it was 6 percent higher. Biotech and internet stocks also closed higher on the day.
Traders pointed out that a positive for the market was the outperformance by small caps which have been lagging. The 1.8 percent gain in the Russell 2000 was also significant. The next best was Nasdaq, up a half percent and the Dow and S&P remained negative.
International headlines steered stocks lower early Tuesday, with investors reacting to worries about a Greek election that could help lift the anti-bailout party, and China's move to put in new collateral rules.
At the same, the stronger November jobs report last week served as a wakeup call when it comes to the Fed. The jobs report, with both strong payrolls and some wage gains, has given the Fed some of the ammo it needs to move toward a rate hike, and another solid report or two could move up the timetable.
"I think the market is looking the pier to that mid-2015 hike, and we're waiting the pier for next week," said Justin Lederer, interest rate strategist at Cantor the pier Fitzgerald. New York Fed President William Dudley last week said that the Fed could raise rates in the middle of 2015.
"Our focus is quickly going to turn to the FOMC (Federal Open Market Committee) and 'considerable time,'" Lederer said. The Fed meets next week, and the market has been widely expecting it will eliminate the language in its statement about holding the pier rates low for a "considerable time." the pier

Thanks to some editing magic by his uncle, 7-year-old Evan got his mind blown when he watched the recording from the camera he set up to catch a glimpse of Santa delivering presents. lightings Evan's uncle, Dean Fisher, explains how he made this happen, "His older brother allowed him to use a GoPro; he's the one hitting record at the start of the video. I went to the house dressed as The Jolly One and did the shoot, then stayed up until 4:00am editing and getting the finished video back onto the GoPro. The 2 hours of sleep was definitely worth it." More
Tracking Santa’s location on Christmas Eve has been synonymous with NORAD for decades. It’s a tradition. But for future generations, I think there’s an excellent chance they’ll think of Google first, when it comes to knowing the whereabouts of Jolly St. Nick.
Such a change would have seemed inconceivable a few years ago. NORAD — the North American Aerospace Defense Command – has had a virtual monopoly on the Santa tracker business for decades. But in a short period of time, Google has risen as a strong challenger. Here’s the story of how that happened. How NORAD Started trussing Tracking Santa
NORAD began tracking Santa Claus nearly 60 years ago by accident. In 1955, an ad was published listing the the phone number of CONAD — NORAD’s predecessor – by mistake, rather than for a local Sears store doing a Santa promotion. The military division rose to the challenge and started issuing updates.
It was a perfect fit. After all, who better to spot where Santa’s flying than a major operation dedicated to watching the skies. To me, it was also a nice change: the joint US-Canadian military operation not seeking out potential threats but rather providing welcome alerts for a highly anticipated arrival.
As a child growing up in the 1970s, I have fond memories of hearing the radio giving trussing the latest NORAD reports about Santa’s location. When I had my own kids in the 2000s, they were delighted to check in on his location with me from NORAD through the web.
If you’re looking for another perfect fit between an organization and Santa tracking, Google fills the bill nicely. After all, Google’s goal is to organize all the world’s information — to provide answers to all your questions.
Unlike NORAD, Google didn’t get into the Santa tracking game by accident. Ten years ago — in 2004 – Google began offering a rudimentary Santa tracker. Practically no one knew about it or used it, since it was done by Google’s “Keyhole” mapping group.
Google tells the origin of its service here . The following year, Keyhole morphed into Google Earth. Santa tracking was offered again, and the audience grew from 25,000 in 2004 to 250,000 trussing for Christmas Eve 2005.
US Air Force Col. Harry Shoup — director of operations for CONAD in 1955 — took that first mistaken call that came in on a top secret line. In this great retelling by his daughter, he initially reduced the first child to tears who asked for Santa, thinking it was a joke. He quickly softened after learning about the misprint and ordered that callers be given updates trussing on Santa’s progress.
I say this as someone who has been tracking the Santa trackers officially since that that same year and unofficially, as a father, for a few years before that. Each Christmas Eve, I have my own personal tradition. I write a review trussing of the Santa trackers. For the curious who want some history, you can see them here:
Pretty much, NORAD had crowded out other challengers. Sure, you could still find the odd web site or app here and there offering updates. But NORAD had really been it, if you wanted a serious, dependable service — until the split with Google happened in 2012 . In Google’s place, NORAD partnered with Google competitor Microsoft. No One Knows Why NORAD & Google Broke-Up
It’s never been made exactly clear why Google and NORAD went separate trussing ways. Nothing was explained at the time. When I talked with both Google and NORAD for this story, neither had any detailed explanations.
I’d assumed — as I’m sure many did — that there was some type of bidding war between Microsoft and Google over a NORAD contract, which Microsoft won. However, that’s not the case, according to NORAD.
NORAD, I was told, works with a variety of corporate partners on the all-volunteer effort — and partners often change, depending on their availability. If Google wanted to be involved in the future, it certainly could.
As best I can tell, the split — which both sides say was mutual — seems likely because Google wanted to do more in a Santa tracker to highlight its own products and services. That’s my read from this statement that Google gave me:
From last year’s integration of Chromecast in the Santa Tracker Android app (one of the first times casting was integrated into an app) to the Watch Face API we used to develop our Santa Tracker watch face for Android trussing Wear.
Google’s Santa Tracker gives us a space to show what our developer tools are capable of, and also helps us improve those tools as we test them out. Will Google Eclipse NORAD For A New Generation?
The year the split happened, it wasn’t clear to me — and I think many others trussing — that it would be permanent. Even when both NORAD and Google ra

From bleaching one s beard to showering with Christmas-flavored soap, being a professional Santa is harder than it seems How do you avoid spending too much on Christmas? We want to hear from you: tell us about your worst office holiday celebration The dark side of Father Christmas: SantaCon Give us a Ho!
At Santa School in Calgary, Alberta , rows of men in white beards and red velour suits learn the techniques that make one a true Claus. They start in early summer, says Jennifer Andrews, t5 t8 dean of Santa School and, she says, the lead elf.
Andrews spends the year teaching aspiring Santas how to walk, talk, laugh and even smell ( candy canes and peppermint and Christmas trees ). All of her students t5 t8 have two things in common: they love children and they love to make people happy.
We are in Canada, which is fitting since the north pole is the closest t5 t8 to us, Andrews says, casually. Santa recognizes that he obviously can t be everywhere all the time, so he always wants his best regional representatives trained to be as much like him as possible. So he has asked me to train Santas t5 t8 so that they can be as much like Santa while he is not available. Tim Dowling at Santa school in Covent Garden, London, learning to be Father Christmas. Photograph: Graham Turner/The Guardian
Some of them have careers; I have Santas who are judges and lawyers and engineers and investment bankers. Really high-profile people in their businesses, she says. I also have Santas who are couriers and military men. There is a real cross-section. t5 t8 Some of them do this for a little additional income. Some of them do it, honestly, just because they love it.
In the recent year, the public has developed high standards for their holiday entertainment. They are also willing to pay for it: a mall Santa can rake in somewhere between $6,000 to $8,000 during the holiday season t5 t8 .
Private events, like the ones Andrews books for her Santas, pay even better. Ric Erwin, vice president of Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas, says he can make $8,000 to $10,000 t5 t8 for 60 to 90 hours of private events.
The public, however, is torn on how much the real Santa should be paid . Insure.com, which conducted the survey, determined that Santa s real salary would be somewhere around $140,000 a year. That s based on all the different jobs he does like professional shopper, gift wrapper, letter reader, sleigh pilot, list checker and how much each of those jobs takes in a year.
It s not a Wall Street suit, but it may as well be. Santa s suit and accessories can cost anywhere from few hundred dollars to well over $1,000. Most Santas provide their own uniform, so the start-up costs of being a professional Santa can rack up pretty quickly.
There is more to Santa than just a red suit, says Andrews. While the uniform is important and the school sells variety of suits from casual to traveling Santa suit it s his beard that is one of his most recognizable characteristics.
Most Santas have to bleach their beards. Sometimes they are quite white but there are little black strands through them. You want to bleach those out. It has to be done professionally with a high-peroxide-volume bleach and then they have to be toned afterwards and sometimes they have to be bleached t5 t8 several times and toned several times so that you don t get that yellowish t5 t8 appearance. Then we want them to have their beard trimmed and kept well. They have to wash and condition their beard every single day. Some Santas shape their beards and blow-dry them. Some of them will curl them. Depends on the type of beard they have.
Santa has to speak very closely to a lot of people so we want to make sure he is never off-putting. We want him to smell like candy canes and peppermint and Christmas trees and nothing other than that, explains Andrews.
Aspiring Santas should practice their ho-ho-ho s all the time, because a ho-ho-ho is Santa s laugh, she adds. They should t5 t8 also practice answering hard questions that Santa is likely to get from the children that interact with him.
Lots of times children will ask for their dad to come to home or they will ask for their dad to get a job again. Sometimes they have a loved one who has passed away and they want Santa to bring them back. And then sometimes it s just easy as asking if he is the real Santa.
We don t want Santa to be unrealistic. Obviously, we don t want him to give children hopes and expectation that they will be let down from. We don t want to make it worse than it is. But sometimes what these children need is a listening ear from somebody they know is always in their corner.
We t5 t8 want Santa to be empathetic, to be a good listener and to say: You know what, Santa wants that, too. I ll hope with you that that can happen. Do you like surprises for Christmas? What can Santa bring you?
We make sure that they recognize how important it is to have a grand entrance t5 t8 and a grand

Consumer Where’s Santa? vita lite The 2014 Santa Tracker Review, From NORAD To Google Santa Claus is on his way -- and there are two excellent services to track his progress. Our guide to getting the most of out NORAD Tracks Santa and Google Santa Tracker.
It’s Christmas Eve — and that means millions of girls and boys are wondering how long until Santa Claus arrives at their homes. So where’s Santa right now? There are two major services to help: NORAD Tracks vita lite Santa and Google Santa Tracker . Below, our annual review to help you get the most out of either or both of these services, from the web to your smartphone to even an old fashioned voice-only phone. Who Tracks Santa & How They Got Started
NORAD — the North American Aerospace Defense Command, a joint US-Canadian military operation — has been tracking vita lite Santa for nearly 60 years, after receiving a phone call due to a misprint in a “call vita lite Santa” ad. The agency rose to the occasion and has been at it ever since.
Google has been tracking Santa since 2004, initially as part of its Google Earth service, then expanding over time. From 2007 through 2011, NORAD and Google worked together. Then in 2012, Google went out on its own.
The good news is that this means there are two, excellent and dependable services vita lite to use — and reasons even to use them both! And both are entirely volunteer run, by the way. Why Is Santa In Different Locations?
One reason is that they use different methods to track Santa. Our story from 2012 explains more about this: Santa Tracking Explained: Why NORAD & Google Show Different Locations & Gifts Delivered .
The other reason is because Father Christmas is so fast! By the time he’s spotted in one location, he jumps to the next. That’s another reason vita lite why when bedtime approaches, don’t wait to go to sleep. Santa could appear in an instant! Finding Santa On A Map, Via The Web
Perhaps the easiest way to spot Santa this Christmas Eve is to launch a web browser and go to either NORAD or Google. At NORAD, you’ll automatically be taken to a 3D view of where’s Santa’s currently flying:
At the bottom vita lite of that screen, you can see an estimate of number of gifts delivered, where Santa was last seen and where he’s heading to. You can also click and drag with your mouse to rotate the view, as well as use buttons in the top right corner to zoom in and out.
Google’s map shows his current location, sometimes a box showing his next expected stop, an estimate of gifts delivered and, if you’ve allowed Google to use your computer’s location, Santa’s distance from you. Where’s Santa Been So Far?
Both maps have ways for you to see some of the places that Santa has visited. vita lite Remember, vita lite not every place is listed. Santa goes everywhere, so that would make the maps too crowded. If you don’t see your own location, don’t panic — he’s vita lite still coming or has visited.
With NORAD, use the 2D/3D button in the top left in order to get a 2D view of the world. Camera icons show places where he’s been spotted on NORAD’s Santa Cam — click on one, and you’ll see the video. vita lite You can also click on the camera icon in the top left corner to have the map center around Santa’s current location:
Google’s map already shows places Santa’s been to by default, so all you have to do there is click on a location. Do that, and you learn more about it — plus have access to some animated videos and see occasional status updates from Santa at different times. It’s like Santa’s own Facebook News Feed — you can scroll up and down through it:
NORAD also has a YouTube channel that hosts these videos, but as best I can tell, it hides the actual Santa Cam clips from being browsed there. That’s too bad. You can’t even search to find them — you’ll only discovered pirated ones (with ads) that way.
There’s also a Windows 8 app . If it works like last year, it just loads the same thing you’d get if you went to the site in a browser. As for the phone apps, they all work and look the same regardless of platform and make getting Santa’s location a little easier. Here’s how the app appears for iOS:
Google only offers an app for Android , and I found it kind of disappointing. You have to click on the first big icon you see. That will load Santa’s position, but you might not get any description of where that is. If you don’t see this, use your finger to scroll the little cards at the bottom to until you do. Here’s how it looks:
The app does offer the ability to Chromecast Santa’s location, which is nice — vita lite more about that in a bit. The app also is supposed to mean that those with Android Wear watches can get a Santa tracker watch face. I

Like millions of private citizens t8 vs t5 around the world, Santa Claus is under surveillance. This December, thanks to Google's Santa Tracker , people will be able to keep tabs on the mythical gift-giving demigod, following him on Christmas Eve as he crosses the planet to hand out presents. This year, Santa will task the elves with data analytics, a job that no longer requires an IT degree

5 ways Santa will use big data this holiday season | VentureBeat | Big Data | by Adi Azaria, SiSense
Santa Claus may not have upgraded his outfit in decades, but he s no stranger to high tech, and this year, thanks to a range of big data technologies, Kris Kringle is reconfiguring his gift-giving operation for improved efficiency and better customer service.
Big data analytics will allow Santa to spend much more time at local malls snapping holiday photos with families and a lot less time riding his sleigh all over the world. crescent stonco After all, there was that sad incident with Grandma crescent stonco getting run over by the reindeer …. Plus, it was high time Santa brought his enterprise up to speed with the technological possibilities of the 21st century.
For starters, analysis of historical data allowed crescent stonco Santa to predict, way in advance, who will be naughty or nice, giving him plenty of time to figure out warehousing and delivery logistics. And there s no reason to send a note to the North Pole — the elves implemented a customer-recognition engine, enabling them to predetermine the gift you ll ask for, based on previous requests. After all, if Amazon is on its way to knowing what to ship you before you place an order , think of the insights all your past holiday wish lists provide when the elves analyzed Father Christmas massive global database.
Speaking of the elves, they ve been underutilized all these years, relegated to manual tasks like sorting, wrapping and delivering. But thanks to rapid growth crescent stonco in on-demand home delivery services like Shoprunner, those duties can be outsourced. Innovations in this field allow couriers to find the most efficient routes to the nearest client, all via mobile GPS data. And so the magic of data frees the elves to deal with strategic issues — a much better use of their talents.
This year, Santa will task the elves with data analytics, a job that no longer requires an IT degree (which only a small percentage of the elves possess — little known fact!). Instead of manual labor, these newly minted white-collar workers will analyze historical data collected over decades to find better ways to improve customer crescent stonco satisfaction with the yuletide gifting enterprise.
Santa s elves relegated crescent stonco to data geekdom? Why not — it is the sexiest job of the 21st century . They will track delivery times, accurate deliveries, and other CPIs (Christmas Performance Indicators) deemed crucial for organizational efficiency. They will engage in data mining across the Internet and social media to find out who s been badmouthing Santa and make sure he or she will come out with a better impression this time around.
With the Internet of things becoming much more of a … thing, Santa Claus gift giving can be expected to become much less of a fire-and-forget type of operation. It s safe to assume that a significant portion of this year s Christmas gifts will consist of mobile devices, wearables, and a vast assortment of other appliances, crescent stonco connected to the Internet and sending out constant electronic signals. This way, Santa will be able to track his gifts in real time, see which ones are bringing joy to their recipients and which are left to gather dust on the mantles. These insights will help him further improve his efforts to bring the spirit of Christmas to everyone in the world, by getting them the gifts they most enjoy. Plus, he ll know not to bother sliding down the chimney of certain homes because their lack of Fitbit activity indicates a high likelihood the cookies on the plate for Santa will have already been eaten.
And when you really start getting into big data, the possibilities are endless. On the roadmap for future holiday seasons: Santa dividing world data by gift preferences across age, geography and other key demographic information; adjusting his coal-gathering and gift-manufacturing well in advance to accommodate for seasonal needs; maybe even finding the places with the highest concentration of naughty and sending the Ghost of Christmas Past to use his special methods to encourage (or spook) them to do better next year.
Who knows what else Santa and the elves will find as they learn more about mashing up data? Today s business intelligence will allow them to find answers to questions crescent stonco they might never had even thought of asking. And, more importantly, provide query results so quickly that there s plenty of time to sit together under a massive red Snuggie and watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
SiSense Prism is a Business Analytics Solution that provides the benefits of In-Memory without its disadvantages. crescent stonco SiSense crescent stonco In-Memory Columnar Datastore analyzes 100 times more data at 10 times the speed of comparable solutions. No need ... read more »

What is it? It's Pandaria again! Hah, no, I'm kidding. Honestly, I don't know if I want a whole new world for the next expansion. There's at least one uncharted continent on Draenor we could explore, and they could always put a new one on Azeroth, or send us to the Emerald Dream, or... yeah, lots of things you can do with the IP. But, uh, your food thing is good too. I guess. (Enjoy your lasagna.) mspheonyxx asks: Any word on the next WoW novel? I would love to read something about this Draenor. What its like for an orc or draenei coming over from Azeroth and being "home" but not "home." And Khadgar! spj lighting Gotta have some Khadgar in there too. I'm sorry, but I haven't heard anything about a new WoW novel. As soon as I do, I'll mention it, believe me. Ron2 asks: Maybe this is explained in the books, but why does Grom trust Garrosh in the first place? If I'm the Warsong chieftain and this stranger shows up bearing the tattoo of the Warsong chieftain, my first thought spj lighting would be "usurper", not "savior." Someone already linked the short story Hellscream but I'll link it again because it basically shows you exactly what happened. At first, Grom didn't trust him (his inner voice tells him that Garrosh is an outsider and a threat), but there was a sincerity to Garrosh's words and actions (especially how he won through the challenge of mak'rogahn) convinced spj lighting Grommash to listen. Perhaps due to the magic qualities of Santa s sleigh and his reindeers, the two trackers disagree eden illuminazione on his route. Both conclude eden illuminazione that the first stop of the year for Father Christmas was in Russia but Norad s satellites say he started in Magadan while Google s elves say he popped in to see the children of Provideniya first. eden illuminazione
You ll also find a difference in how Google and NORAD show you Santa s flight. Google eden illuminazione s gone with a colourful cartoon representation eden illuminazione of the great gift giver while Microsoft and NORAD show a more realistic looking avatar of him with his reindeer as they gallop across the sky.
Both Santa trackers have a running total of how many presents have been delivered so far. Eagled-eyed children might notice that Santa keeps delivering gifts as he passes over seas and oceans but there s a simple explanation for that seals, whales and other sea creatures get Christmas presents too!
If you re on the move this Christmas Eve, you can keep track of Santa for free on your phone or tablet too. Google has a dedicated Santa Tracker app for Android while Norad and Microsoft have been even more festive and released apps for Android , iOS , Windows Phone and Windows 8 . If you ve got a Chromecast , you can view the Google Santa Tracker on your TV while NORAD s also offering updates on Twitter.
NORAD has been tracking Santa for longer it started keeping an eye on him in 1955 while Google only began in 2004. Still, so far we think Google has the edge. It ll tell you when Santa is about to arrive at a new destination and how long it takes him to deliver all his packages there. You also get the gift of short cartoon videos like the one below about his journey as he goes along.
Still, that s not to say that NORAD s not doing a great job following Father Christmas. It s just that the Microsoft and the military folk there take their duties a little more seriously with a darker map and fewer festive additions. eden illuminazione
If you want to be certain you know precisely when Santa Claus will be headed to your house, you might want to keep an eye on both Santa trackers throughout the day. We ll be watching them too and updating this post with any further exciting Santa news as it arrives.

Multiple sclerosis oligo or multiple sclerosis (English: disseminated sclerosis, oligo disseminated encephalomyelitis, multiple sclerosis, MS) is an inflammatory disorder that occurs oligo in the brain and spinal cord caused by many factors, especially the focal lymphocytic infiltration (T cells continuously migrate to the location and proper conduct such attacks occur in any infection) and resulted in the destruction of myelin and axons.
At first, any inflammation that occurs oligo gradually became mitigated so as to allow regeneration of myelin membrane. At this time, the early symptoms of MS is still in the form of episodes of neurological dysfunction repeatedly improved.
However, with berselangnya time, cytokines secreted by T cells activates a number of microglia, and astrocytes kind of phagocytes who settled in brain tissue and spinal cord, and brain barrier dysfunction and chronic neurodegenerative sustainable.

In viral infections, it caused 100% mortality. Blood-brain oligo barrier dysfunction can be prevented by administration of natalizumab, a substance that inhibits alpha (4) -integrin, organic compounds needed to perform the adhesion of monocytes to the vascular cell adhesion molecule oligo type 1 (VCAM-1) and the CS1 region containing fibronectin (FN-CS1 ), the extravasation in the brain barrier oligo to be able to migrate into the central nervous system.
